On my recent trip with Etihad Airways, after disembarking and retrieving our luggage, I discovered that my large suitcase had a broken wheel and my leather bag had severely torn handles and a ripped side grip. I purchased these bags at a significant cost, trusting they would last through such international travel.
Upon noticing the damage, I immediately consulted the staff present at the baggage claim area. Unfortunately, they only directed me to submit a complaint online without offering any immediate assistance. After speaking to others, I was advised to file an official damage report, which I did. Despite submitting the report and following up online, I have not received any response so far.
This incident caused me substantial inconvenience and physical strain. I had to carry a large, broken suitcase without wheels and a damaged leather bag, which left my arms exhausted. I purchased my ticket from Etihad Airways, trusting the brand’s service quality. Sadly, this experience has left me disappointed. I later learned that other passengers on the same flight experienced similar baggage damage, raising concerns about your baggage handling practices.
I request immediate compensation for the damaged luggage and an official apology for the hardship caused. Please resolve this matter within 14 days.
