eSIM.io Greece Data Plans Had Almost No Signal During My Trip
Between July 2 and July 4, 2026, during my trip to the Greek Islands, I purchased multiple data packages from eSIM.io for use in Greece, including two 5 GB packages, one 2 GB package, and I also paid an additional $18.50 for extra data usage. Despite these purchases, the service provided almost no reliable internet connection throughout my trip. The signal was extremely weak, and the connection was unstable in nearly every location.
Because of these connectivity problems, I was unable to upload photos or videos to social media, and even sending photos through WhatsApp was often impossible. We were only able to access the internet intermittently in a few locations, and even then the connection lasted only briefly before disconnecting again. One night, despite spending a total of only about 10 minutes trying to upload photos in areas with limited signal, my 5 GB data package was reported as fully consumed. Given the minimal amount of actual data usage and the poor connection quality, this does not appear reasonable or explainable.
I explained these issues in detail to your customer support representative. Unfortunately, I received only generic, dismissive responses, and my concerns were not taken seriously. No meaningful effort was made to investigate or resolve the problem. Later, my wife shared her own internet connection with me, but we experienced the same poor coverage and repeated disconnections on her service as well. As a result, we paid a substantial amount of money for a service that was largely unusable.
Since I did not receive the service I paid for, I respectfully request a full refund of all payments made for my eSIM.io account associated with user code J8248BP. I also request that this complaint be properly investigated and that I receive a written explanation regarding the poor network performance and the excessive data consumption reported during my trip.
