Emporio Armani Sweatshirt Collar Pills After Single Wash: Store Holds Item for Six Months

On January 20, 2026, I purchased a sweatshirt from the Emporio Armani store at Mersin Marina for approximately $279. I washed the item only once in January, and pilling immediately formed on the collar. I contacted the store via WhatsApp, and they instructed me to ship the item for quality inspection, which I sent on February 3, 2026.

I received zero updates throughout the entire inspection process—no phone calls, nor any written communications. When I called to check on the status in July 2026, I learned that the exchange request was denied due to alleged "user error." They never even bothered to notify me of this rejection, leaving me without feedback for six months, and staff could not provide clear answers regarding statutory inspection deadlines. When they offered to ship the sweatshirt back, I provided my address and finally received the item on July 21, 2026—nearly six months after sending it out in February.

Seeing the collar pill after a single wash, combined with an excessively long, uncommunicative inspection process, has completely shattered my trust in the store and brand. Given the defective quality and unreasonable delays, I demand a full refund or at least a product exchange. Otherwise, I will pursue legal remedies due to the breach of statutory inspection and return timelines.
