easyJet Denied My Boarding Despite Valid French Resident Permit for UK Transit
Today, I had flights from İzmir to London and from London to Bordeaux. I hold a French residence permit valid until April 2028, and even though the official website of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly states that "EU residence permit cardholders do not require a UK transit visa," the airport ground services refused to let me board the plane. I passed through passport control with my boarding cards and French residence permit, yet despite showing the official statement multiple times and explaining that I legally do not need a transit visa when traveling to France without changing airports in the UK, they still did not allow me to board. I am urgently requesting a refund for my tickets.
