There’s one thing I’m absolutely certain of—my Dyson Big Ball vacuum’s hose is about to crack, and the handle and head will soon break too. I’ve become afraid to even use it. While I received excellent service during the warranty period—special thanks to Aykut Bey for his help—I now want to share my experiences after using the device for three years. I’m not seeking repairs or compensation. My only goal is to inform other potential buyers.
Persistent Dust Smell: From day one, the vacuum emitted a strong odor, similar to what you’d smell when first turning on an old air conditioner.
Cheap Build Quality: The entire unit feels like it might fall apart in your hands.
Faulty Dust Canister: It has never fully closed. The red latch often dangles and feels fragile.
Loose Fit After a Year: The canister doesn’t sit properly anymore and sometimes opens on its own.
Broken Tube: The vacuum’s pipe broke completely.
Fragile Parts: The soft rubbery components are so poorly made I was able to tear them apart by hand—I’ll even try to upload a video of it.
Expensive Spare Parts: I bought two extra heads, which cost as much as two mid-range vacuum cleaners.
No Peace of Mind: I can’t use the machine confidently, knowing it’s likely to break again.
An Endless Loop: I keep setting the device aside, knowing it’ll break again, but the cost keeps pulling me back into using it.
A Simple Truth: Dyson might be a premium brand, but sometimes your old local-market vacuum gets the job done better.
In conclusion, I expected long-term quality when I invested in Dyson, but I’ve been met with ongoing frustration, disappointing durability, and unnecessarily high costs. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.
