Dyson V8 Battery Drains in 6 Minutes, Warranty Not Honored

I’ve been using my Dyson V8 vacuum for about two years. It used to run for 20 minutes on high power, but now the battery drains in just 6 minutes. With two months left on the warranty, I contacted Dyson customer service. They called me via video, confirmed the issue, but claimed this was “normal” and offered to sell me a replacement adapter instead.

I’m frustrated and confused. Why does a machine that used to work perfectly now stop after just 6 minutes? Why can’t this issue be resolved under warranty?

I expect Dyson to honor their warranty and replace the faulty battery or provide a proper solution without additional charges. A premium product should come with reliable support.

"I was contacted and told that the battery would be replaced by calling the service, because there was no battery in stock. I was told that a payment of around 5900 TL would be required. I sent it today. Since the battery life is 2 years, I don't want to pay a high battery price for the vacuum every 2 years. I am renewing the battery once as a one-time thing, and I will probably throw it away in 2 years. It makes much more sense to buy a new vacuum from another company. I don't recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the courteous response."
