Dell G15 5530 Needs Expensive Motherboard Replacement

I have been unable to use my Dell G15 5530 laptop due to a motherboard failure before I had even owned it for three full years. On July 17, 2026, the device suddenly stopped powering on completely, so I sent it to an authorized service center. After inspecting the device, the service center provided me with a repair quote of approximately $3,578 and requested payment of this amount for a motherboard replacement.
When I purchased this laptop, I paid approximately $1,173 for it. The motherboard replacement cost I have been quoted today is almost equivalent to the price of a brand-new computer and is nearly three times what I originally paid for the entire device. I find it completely unreasonable that a gaming and performance-oriented laptop would suffer a complete motherboard failure only 5–6 months after the warranty expired, especially after such a short period of use, and that I would then be asked to pay such an excessive repair fee.
My service tag is listed in Dell’s system as HKFX5W3, and my express service code is 38241364755. I handled the service process through BDH, and the repair quote provided to me was also prepared by BDH.
At this point, I request that Dell provide an immediate solution without charging me such an excessive amount for a serious hardware failure that occurred after such a short period of use. My preferred resolution is to have the motherboard repaired or replaced free of charge. If this is not possible, I request that the device be treated as a defective product and that I receive a full refund or, at minimum, a replacement with a new or equivalent computer of comparable value. Otherwise, I intend to file complaints with the appropriate legal authorities and all relevant organizations.
I request that my case be investigated as soon as possible and that a fair solution focused on customer satisfaction be provided.
