The Deichmann shoes I purchased were defective and I had to return them. They would not exchange them for a new pair of Hummel shoes despite the fact that they were still under warranty. As a last resort, I hoped to get a refund or exchange from Deichmann, so I sent the shoes back for further review. If a return or exchange wasn't an option, I asked if the shoes could be fixed instead. But they turned me down, saying there was no flaw in production. The inspection team found no issues, and neither did the customer service representatives. Amazingly disheartening, especially after purchasing their products with my own money. My only request is that my shoes be replaced or that my money be refunded. That's the very least I should expect, and I shouldn't have to accept. I'm crossing my fingers that Deichmann will own up to the quality of their goods and offer me a workable solution.
