Defective Product Sent By Decathlon
I bought a classic goalpost from Decathlon. Since I wasn’t home when the delivery arrived, I couldn’t open the package together with the courier. The courier left the box in front of my door and left. When I got home, I noticed that the box’s tape was torn and there was no security seal. I then spoke with Ms. D*** from the Gaziemir Decathlon store. She rather harshly stated that the box tapes were faulty and even if I had gone to the store, there wouldn’t have been a sealed box available, and that they couldn’t accept a return without checking the product first. Upon realizing that none of the boxes were properly sealed, I started assembling the product at home. At the final step, I saw that one of the pipes was crushed and the paint was chipped. Now, since I have opened and tried to assemble the product, they won’t accept a return. If you’re buying products online from Decathlon, make sure to open them together with the courier. Otherwise, you might end up paying for a brand-new item but receive a defective one.
Hello, They called the next day and said they could take back the installed product. Since dismantling the product and sending it back would be a lengthy process, I did not send it. I continue to use it at home. If I had returned the product, it would most likely have been shipped to another customer the same day. Although there was no fault with the packaging of the product sent to me, other than the tape being open, the metal part of the product was dented. Since the company has problematic quality management, it is beneficial to open the delivered products with the representative of the shipping company. Best regards
