Columbia Firecamp Boots Lose Waterproofing and Soak Feet
In September 2024, I purchased a pair of Columbia Firecamp Boots from the Columbia store at Viaport Outlet. During the sale, the staff specifically emphasized that the product was “100% waterproof.” I mostly used the boots in snowy conditions, and initially, I did not experience any issues. However, after some time, the boots began to let in significant amounts of water, and my feet became completely soaked.
I purchased the product with an invoice dated September 20, 2024, and it is still within the warranty period. After experiencing the issue, I took the boots to the Columbia store at Adana Optimum Outlet on March 8, 2026. However, the store representative told me that since more than one year had passed, they could not send the product for inspection and refused to assist me in any way. I believe there is a clear inconsistency between the “100% waterproof” claim made at the time of sale and the approach taken regarding the warranty.
I request that the product be sent for a proper technical inspection to determine whether the issue is manufacturing-related, and based on the results, that a solution be provided—either a replacement or a full refund.
