Columbia Firecamp Boots Replacement Denied Despite Product Being in Stock

In December 2023, I purchased Columbia Firecamp boots from the Park Columbia store. In June, I sent the boots for inspection due to pilling issues. The store informed me the defect was production-related and approved my return. However, they offered me a store credit instead of replacing the boots. I requested a new pair of the same product, and they told me to wait, claiming the product would be restocked soon.
When I asked for my original boots back, they said they were sent to the central warehouse and destroyed. Each time I visited, they postponed the issue. Finally, they admitted the product is unavailable, despite it being listed as in stock at the store. They now say I can either request a refund by visiting the bank to retrieve my payment slip (which would take 35-40 days) or use store credit for the amount I paid, ₺7,500.
The boots are now priced at ₺10,999, and I cannot afford to pay an additional ₺3,500 for the same item. Columbia’s pricing has increased significantly, and I feel let down by the brand. A brand like Columbia should not leave its customers in such a difficult situation. I’m writing this to ensure others don’t face the same issues. Always check if the store is franchised before making a purchase.
