Lexus LBX Battery Keeps Failing Despite 10-Year Warranty

I purchased my Lexus LBX from the Lexus Çankaya dealership on July 30, 2025, with a 10-year warranty. Since the day I purchased the vehicle, I have experienced a series of problems that I absolutely would not expect from a premium brand, and these issues, which have continued since approximately December 2025, still have not been resolved.

My vehicle has broken down and failed to start twice so far. I had to call roadside assistance on December 5, 2025, and May 20, 2026. On both occasions, the battery was recharged and the problem was only temporarily resolved. Despite this, my request to have the battery replaced was denied, and I was told that I needed to drive the vehicle more regularly. However, the vehicle is not one that sits unused; its 15,000-kilometer service was performed in its 10th month. In addition, the battery located underneath the rear seat was left in a careless and improper condition after being recharged and then returned to me that way.

Since the very first day I purchased the vehicle, I have continuously heard noises coming from the rear of the vehicle. For this reason, I left my vehicle at Toyota Efe Plaza service center and requested a loaner vehicle, but my request was denied. When I subsequently contacted Lexus, I was told that I should have been provided with a loaner vehicle. However, even after Lexus contacted the service center, no replacement vehicle was provided. On the fifth day, when I called the service center to ask about my vehicle, they told me that they were just about to call me and that the vehicle was ready. However, the noise coming from the rear had not been fixed, and I had unnecessarily been left without a vehicle during this entire period.

On May 20, 2026, I had the 15,000-kilometer service performed and once again reported the noise problem. The service representative stated that the rear sections of these vehicles are problematic and that they were unable to resolve the noise. In other words, I am facing a situation where the problem has been explicitly acknowledged, while at the same time I have been told that it cannot be fixed.

In addition, although the maintenance fee listed on the invoice for the 15,000-kilometer service was $310, my credit card receipt shows that I was charged $384, resulting in an overcharge of approximately $74. I later learned that this difference was charged under a service called “Lexus Asistanım Ayrıcalıklı Hizmetleri” for services I did not need, such as flower delivery, dry cleaning, and picking up medication from a pharmacy. I specifically stated that I did not need these services and that I could handle them myself if necessary. Despite repeatedly explaining all of the problems I have experienced with the vehicle since the day I purchased it and emphasizing that these issues should be resolved for a vehicle covered by a 10-year warranty, neither the noise and battery problems have been fixed nor has the $74 charged for these services been refunded.

I have had numerous phone conversations with the service center and customer service, sent emails, repeatedly visited the service center, and waited through this entire process. As a result, I have suffered both financial losses and a significant loss of time. All of these experiences have seriously damaged my trust in the Lexus brand and my expectations of a premium vehicle. I demand that the noise problem be permanently resolved, that my battery be replaced with a new one, and that the full $74 charged without my approval under the “Lexus Asistanım” service be refunded to me.
