Milestone Tire Has a Tread Defect That Makes It Unsafe to Use
In January, I purchased four Milestone tires in size 235/35/19 for my Skoda Superb. One of the tires has a defect in the tread area, making it impossible to install on my vehicle, and as a result, I have been unable to use it for approximately two months. This situation has caused me both financial and personal inconvenience.
I have sent the defective tire to be inspected under warranty twice. Each time, the tire was returned approximately three weeks later, and I was told that it had “undergone testing and no problem was found,” so my warranty claim was rejected. However, the irregularity in the tread is clearly noticeable and can be felt very easily. This also raises serious concerns for me regarding driving safety. I even submitted a video to demonstrate the problem, but the tire was still not replaced.
I have been working in the tire business as a professional for approximately 48 years, and this is the first time I have experienced a warranty process in which I have felt this inconvenienced and disregarded. Despite both my professional experience and my right as a customer to have a safe product, my request for a replacement or refund has been rejected on the grounds that the tire is supposedly free of defects. I am extremely disappointed by this experience.
I request that the defective tire be replaced with a new one at no cost to me. Alternatively, if possible, I request that all four tires be accepted for return and that the full purchase price be refunded. Otherwise, I want to make it clear that I will have no choice but to exercise my legal rights, including pursuing the matter through the Consumer Court if necessary.
