China Southern Airlines Let Cash Get Stolen from My Checked Baggage
On March 19, 2025, I flew from Istanbul to Thailand with China Southern Airlines, and I experienced an extremely upsetting incident—cash was stolen directly from my checked baggage. I expected basic security and accountability, especially from an international airline, but there was none.
After discovering that my money had been taken, I immediately went to the airport to report the issue. Shockingly, no one took responsibility, and I received no support, no solution, and not even a serious acknowledgment of the situation. It’s outrageous that such a theft could occur under their supervision, and they just brushed it off like it was nothing.
Clearly, there is no proper baggage security protocol in place. This experience has not only caused financial loss but also destroyed my trust in this airline. I am demanding a full investigation and compensation for the money stolen from my luggage. Other passengers should be warned—your belongings are not safe when you fly with China Southern Airlines.
