I own a Chery Omoda 5, and my vehicle has only 12,000 km on it. Recently, I began noticing a noticeable vibration when decelerating in 2nd gear. At first, I assumed this was normal behavior until I drove the exact same model owned by a friend—his vehicle did not have this issue at all.
On May 15, I took my car to the authorized service center. The staff member who assisted me acknowledged that other customers had reported the same problem, implying this is a known and recurring (possibly chronic) issue with this model. However, I was told there’s no available fix and nothing they can do about it, even though my vehicle is still under warranty.
This is completely unacceptable. A manufacturer that is aware of a recurring defect yet refuses to take action is not one I can recommend. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will pursue all my legal rights to ensure accountability.
Chery must take full responsibility and provide a permanent solution for this vibration issue. Selling a car with a known manufacturing flaw and ignoring customers after the sale is not how you build trust. I demand that someone contact me and offer a proper resolution immediately.
