I Bought a New Chery Omoda 5 and Its Brake Discs Warped Within 2 Years Under Warranty

I purchased a brand-new Chery Omoda 5 directly from the dealership, and yet within less than two years, the brake discs warped and became dangerously deformed. This defect put me and my passengers at serious risk. When I took the vehicle to the authorized service center, I expected the issue to be resolved under warranty—as it should be for a new car.

Instead, I was told the discs would only be replaced if I paid out of pocket, despite the fact that the car is still under full warranty. The staff at the service center blamed me for the issue, saying it was “user error”, and treated me with complete disrespect—as if I was being unreasonable for even asking. I’ve been driving for 30 years and have owned all kinds of vehicles, from Volvo to Tofaş to Golf, and I’ve never experienced a brake issue like this on a brand-new car.

Chery refuses to admit that this is a manufacturing defect, not something caused by the driver. The warped discs on such a new vehicle are unacceptable and clearly point to poor quality control.

I’m extremely disappointed and formally filing a complaint against Chery. A brand that promotes itself as reliable and modern should take ownership of safety-related faults. I demand a full explanation and replacement of the faulty parts without charging me a single ₺. Anything less is negligence.
