On 31.10.2025, I personally went to the Burger King Konya Kıvılcım Bulvar AVM branch and placed an order. I paid at the cashier, and 1,220 TL was successfully withdrawn from my Yapı Kredi bank card. However, shortly after, the system crashed and my order was canceled. No product was given, no service was provided. The staff brushed it off by saying, 'Don’t worry, the money will be refunded by the bank in a few days.'
Today it has been 12 days, and still there is neither a refund nor a clear explanation. I have called customer service many times; each time I received the same answer: 'The record has been forwarded to accounting, it is going through the processes, you need to wait.' I’m sorry, but it is unacceptable for my money to be held up in Burger King’s accounting processes. Why am I paying the price for this brand’s system error?
Withdrawing 1,220 TL and providing no service, then stalling for weeks by saying 'there are processes' is a corporate disgrace. I did not place an order to finance Burger King’s cash register! My money is now circulating in the brand’s system, maybe even being used as working capital for them. This literally means keeping and utilizing the customer’s money in the system.
For a global brand to not refund the customer’s money and say 'wait' is disrespectful and a breach of trust. The greatness of a brand is measured not by its advertisements, but by how it treats customers it has wronged. Burger King has failed in this matter. I no longer trust this brand, and I will not recommend it to anyone around me. This behavior is incompatible with both commercial ethics and the understanding of customer satisfaction.
I demand that the 1,220 TL I paid be refunded to my account as soon as possible.
