Unfair Car Rental Experience with Wheego via Booking.com in Samos

I reserved a car through Booking.com to be picked up in Samos downtown. Booking.com facilitated the rental via Wheego. When I arrived at Vathi port, the island's central area, I called the rental company and asked them to send me the location. I discovered that the pickup point was in Pythagorio, approximately 25 kilometers from Vathi.

To avoid arguments and because I had pre-paid for the rental, I paid an extra €20 for a taxi to pick up the vehicle. Similarly, when returning the car, they provided the option of dropping it off at their Vathi office for an additional €20 fee. After returning home and reviewing my booking confirmation, I realized I was not mistaken and felt duped. Booking.com refused to provide me with a €40 refund.

This misleading information, combined with the additional costs, ruined my rental experience. I hope this helps others avoid similar situations.
