I Face Delayed Refund of €1,600 from Booking.com for Canceled Hotel Reservation

On July 22, I paid a total of €1,600 via my credit card for a reservation at Hotel Barcelona Center in Spain through Booking.com. I later canceled the booking, and since it was eligible for free cancellation, I expected a full refund. When I contacted the hotel directly, they confirmed that they had already sent the entire refund to Booking.com without any deductions.
I reached out to Booking.com customer service multiple times. At first, they told me the process would take some time. Later, they claimed the refund had already been sent to my bank. However, my bank confirmed there has been no refund credited to my account. I even requested a formal document from Booking.com proving the refund was issued, but I have not received any response.
Given the high amount involved, I urgently request that Booking.com transfer the €1,600 refund to my account immediately. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly and my financial loss to be addressed without further delay.
