Booking.com Canceled Reservation at Lo Studio nel Borgo – I Demand Refund for Extra Costs

I had a confirmed Booking.com reservation at “Lo Studio nel Borgo” for October 19–23, 2025 (Reservation No: 5319****85, PIN: 8658). However, just as my check-in date was approaching, the hotel canceled my booking without providing any valid reason. The only explanation given was “inventory maintenance,” and I was notified of this at the last minute.
I immediately contacted Booking.com customer service to report the issue. However, instead of a fair solution, I was offered a replacement hotel that was cheaper, of lower quality, and located far from the city center. Since my travel plans already included museum visits, restaurant reservations, and train tickets, cancellation was not an option. I therefore had to book a new hotel on my own, paying €50 more than the alternative Booking.com provided.
Additionally, because I had to call Booking.com’s international customer service, my phone bill now includes a ₺315 international call charge. This situation has caused me both financial and emotional distress. I’ve had a similar issue with Booking.com once before, but that time it was resolved — this time, unfortunately, it wasn’t.
Attached are the screenshots showing the price difference between the replacement hotel Booking.com offered and the new hotel I had to book myself. I request that Booking.com reimburse me the €50 price difference and the ₺315 phone charge as compensation for the inconvenience and the company’s mishandling of my reservation.
