I purchased the Beko 7070 MB seven-drawer deep freezer in 2019, expecting it to last for years. But just before the recent Kurban Bayramı, I discovered that only the top four drawers were freezing properly—while the bottom three weren’t freezing at all. I emptied, cleaned, and unplugged the unit, waiting 10–15 days before testing again. This time, I filled each drawer with bottles of water. Shockingly, none of them froze—except one.

I contacted authorized service, and when they finally came, they said there was rust at a single point on the condenser coil in the back and blamed moisture. I asked if it was my fault—they confirmed it wasn’t and that this was just “bad luck.” I disagreed, arguing that moisture would cause widespread corrosion, not a single rust spot. I believe it’s a micro paint defect from production. I pointed out that if moisture alone caused failure, then white goods couldn’t survive in humid cities like Antalya or Adana.

I told the service to return the unit without repair and filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board, demanding a product replacement. I find it unacceptable that a sealed system in a 5-year-old freezer can fail like this, when even 30-year-old fridges don’t develop rust on internal coils.

My problem with my Beko freezer was resolved thanks to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, and a replacement decision was made.

The customer representative who assisted me was very helpful. The product was exchanged with the 2025 model 7072 MB. I was told that if I didn't like it, I could request a different product, but since I thought the offer was sufficient, I accepted the deep freezer.
