ASICS Gel Kayano 14 Toe Opening From Day One And Claim Denied

In December 2025, I purchased ASICS Gel Kayano 14 shoes from the official ASICS website. From the very first day, there was a small opening on the toe area of the shoe, which gradually became larger over time. As someone who has trusted and preferred ASICS products for years, this issue with this model has been extremely disappointing. Additionally, there was a marking on the shoe box suggesting it may have been a display product, which raises concerns that I might have been sent a previously used item.
Following ASICS instructions, I sent the shoes for inspection using the provided shipping code. However, I received a negative response stating that the opening on the toe was “not a manufacturing defect,” and my request was denied. I strongly disagree with this conclusion, as the issue existed from the beginning and progressively worsened, which indicates a production-related problem rather than normal wear and tear.
Even though the issue is present in only one shoe, I did not expect to experience such a quality problem from ASICS, nor to be left without support afterward.
This experience has significantly damaged my trust in the ASICS brand. I request that my Gel Kayano 14 shoes be re-evaluated through an objective inspection and that the issue be recognized as a manufacturing defect, with a replacement provided accordingly. I expect a prompt and customer-focused resolution.
