ASICS GEL-1090v2 Torn At Seams After 7 Months And Claim Denied
On December 12, 2024, I purchased ASICS GEL-1090v2 sneakers from the Marlin Spor store via Trendyol. I used the product only under normal daily conditions. After 7 months of use, without any impact, cutting, or misuse, symmetrical tears and holes developed on both sides of the left shoe, near the stitching line on the upper side. Considering the product’s usage period and expected quality, this situation is clearly not normal.
On December 30, 2025, I sent the product for inspection. My invoice number is PY12024000016675. About a month later, I was informed that the issue was “not manufacturing-related,” and my claim was rejected. However, the fact that the damage occurred symmetrically in the same area along the stitching strongly suggests a material or manufacturing defect. It is not possible for such deformation to occur under proper and normal use due to user error.
I purchased this product trusting the brand’s reputation for quality, and experiencing such damage in a short time, followed by a rejected claim, has been extremely disappointing.
I request that the product be replaced with a new one or that the full amount I paid be refunded.
