Beats Wired Headphones from Apple Store Not Covered for Faulty Design

I purchased Beats wired headphones from the Apple Store, a product my spouse relies on heavily due to work. These headphones are the most comfortable option for them. However, despite being under warranty, the earbud portion detached, seemingly due to exposure to heat and humidity.

When I sent the product to Apple service, I was informed the repair would require a fee, and due to physical wear, the product needed replacement. The replacement price quoted was higher than the current price at the Apple Store. On top of this, I was charged for the shipping fee to return the product.

I escalated the issue by contacting multiple Apple representatives, but no resolution was offered. Ultimately, I had the headphones repaired independently, as the adhesive had deteriorated and required reapplication. It’s disappointing that Apple, a brand I trusted and have exclusively used for years, didn’t stand behind their product. This experience felt more like dealing with an ordinary company than a premium brand. Apple, I expect better accountability and support for loyal customers.
