On February 20, 2024, following an eye examination, I was issued a prescription for eyeglasses with prescription number 98848752. On February 28, 2024, I had my glasses (lenses and frame) made and delivered by Atasun Optik located in Polatlı Kartaltepe AVM. As seen in the attached images, some deterioration occurred on the lenses, which were said to have a special coating. On June 22, 2025, I reported this issue to the same store, and they stated they would send the lenses to the manufacturer for inspection. I handed the lenses over, and on July 6, 2025, I received a Warranty Rejection Form from Atasun Optik, which cited "exposure to heat treatment, high temperatures, or direct sunlight" as the reason for the lens damage. However, as indicated in the attached prescription, the lens specifications are clearly visible. I wear my glasses from the moment I get up until I go to bed, and I cannot manage daily tasks without them. If the lenses deteriorate simply from exposure to sunlight while being worn, then the quality of the lenses or their coating should be questioned. I was born in 1976 and have been wearing glasses for about 40 years, and I have never experienced anything like this before. According to the e-Government Medusa lens-frame entitlement section also attached, I will not be eligible for a new pair until February 28, 2026. I believe both the lenses and their coating should last at least two years. It seems I made two mistakes here: overestimating Atasun Optik and buying coated lenses for such a high price. The company does not stand behind its products, and I’ve had to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
