My iPhone 14 Pro Max was dropped, and the screen cracked. The warranty is still valid. I requested that the screen be replaced at an authorized service center for a fee. On Monday, June 10, 2024, I took my device to the Troy Authorized Service Provider. They said they could replace the screen within two hours. However, about an hour later, they called to say they couldn't remove the screen and would send the device to Apple. Troy Service sent my device to the Apple repair center on June 11, 2024. On June 13, 2024, I received an SMS from the service center and went to collect my device. Apple returned my device with an "unauthorized modification" decision. When I inquired about the reason, I was directed to contact Apple support, and my device was returned to me. On June 13, 2024, I questioned Ms. İpek from Apple support about why the device was returned by the technical team. She stated that she was unable to view this information and that she would contact the appropriate department and notify me of the problem on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Because I expected the Apple technical team, which can examine and return a device shipped from Ankara on Tuesday and have it back to me by Thursday, to respond quickly to my question about why the device was returned, I requested a faster response. If possible, she said she'd let me know on Friday, June 14, 2024. Ms. İpek did not call on Friday, June 14, 2024, so I contacted Apple support. Mr. Alihan also did not respond to my questions during our conversation. He has scheduled a new meeting for Tuesday, June 18, 2024. There was still no response by June 18, 2024. There was no response on June 19, 2024, because Mr. Alihan was going on leave and said he'd transfer me to another colleague. On Friday, June 21, 2024, Ms. Ela from Apple Support called me again. She stated that there was still no response. She also clarified that my case had not yet been reviewed. When I insisted on waiting for an answer, I was told, "The engineering team hasn't responded yet; what can I do?" In summary, I intended to replace the screen by paying for it. My device, which had never been tampered with before, was marked with a "Unauthorized Modification" decision. My screen was not replaced, and I did not receive an explanation for this decision. I don't believe any issues can be resolved with Apple Turkey, which has a technical team that cannot replace the screen of the phones it sells and a customer service department that only delays customers.
