I purchased a Xiaomi Smart Projector from Amazon Turkey. In its third year of use, the projector developed a green screen issue. When I contacted Amazon, they informed me that the two-year warranty had expired and that I would have to pay for repairs. I took the device to the authorized service center, Genpa, but they refused to handle it because it was under importer warranty.
I contacted Amazon again, and they directed me to send the projector to another service center. The service center returned the device without even inspecting it. Once more, I reached out to Amazon, and this time they suggested I take it to a small, local repair shop. The local technician examined it and said the imaging chip was broken and couldn't be sourced.
After relaying this information to Amazon, they finally offered a refund but only the original purchase price of ₺3,000 from three years ago, which is now insufficient to replace the projector. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they suggested I wait for the product to be back in stock for a replacement. Two months have passed, and I'm still waiting with no resolution.
I also contacted Xiaomi Turkey, but they were unable to help. In summary, buying Xiaomi products is a mistake—finding spare parts and service is extremely difficult, and the company doesn't stand behind their products. Amazon isn't any better; they won't even facilitate repairs for products they've sold. I expected an immediate replacement. It seems I'll have to take my case to the Consumer Rights Court.
