Amazon Doubled the Price of My Gillette Fusion Proglide Blades

On 02.09.2024, I purchased a 14-pack of Gillette Fusion Proglide manual replacement razor blades from Amazon for ₺1,219. At the time, the exchange rate was ₺34.08 to the dollar, meaning I paid approximately $35.70 for the product. Today, on 07.07.2025, I went to order the same item again on Amazon and saw that it is now being sold for ₺2,890, which is around $72.28. That’s a 2.37x increase in Turkish Lira and over a 100% increase in dollar terms. Isn’t that excessive? Is there really 237% inflation in this country? How can such a price hike be justified under any ethical business standards? We used to believe that your company engaged in fair and honest trade, but clearly, we were mistaken. Weren’t we? Convince us—where is the error?
