Amazon Did Not Refund My Damaged Hills Cat Food Order Within the Promised Time

On December 13, 2024, I placed an order for a 10 kg Hills cat food from Amazon Turkey (www.amazon.com.tr). The order was scheduled for delivery by the courier on December 14, 2024, but was returned to Amazon the same day due to "damage during transportation." The order page on Amazon stated that a refund would be issued in such cases. Expecting the refund process to follow the guidelines shared on the order page (refunds would be issued within 7 days of the original shipment being returned to Amazon), I waited. However, after 9 days without receiving a refund, I contacted customer service on December 23, 2024. I was informed that, as per Amazon’s standard refund procedures, the refund would only be processed 14 days after the return, and no exceptions would be made. Despite explaining that the return process occurred without my involvement and highlighting the information displayed on the website, the representative insisted on the 14-day policy. I am sharing my experience here to urge Amazon to review their refund policy, ensure clarity in their communication, and address such discrepancies that lead to customer dissatisfaction.
