Amazon Carrier Mishap Caused Me a Lost Phone and Unexpected Tax Burden
I bought a phone on Amazon.com.tr, but the package got lost during the delivery process by Aras Kargo. When I called Amazon, they told me I could either ask for the product again or get a refund. When I called Amazon's customer service, they told me they couldn't send the item again because the company doesn't allow it. They said they would refund the money and let me buy the item again later, getting the difference back later. But after I got the item and had already chosen to pay over time through my bank, a difference of 2500 TL was taken out of my card. Even though the bank said they would refund the money, they said they couldn't refund the tax fee. In other words, I still have to pay 2500 TL for the installment tax, even if the cost of the item is reimbursed. It's annoying to have to pay this extra amount because Aras Kargo lost a 45,000 TL item because they were not careful. I don't want a refund; I just need the item sent again. This request has not been accepted, which is a shame. People should think twice before using Amazon.com.tr because they charged me a 2500 TL tax because Amazon and Aras Kargo messed up.
