TCL 2057D Warranty Claim Denied Over Alleged Liquid Damage I Never Caused
Approximately three months ago, I purchased a brand-new TCL Alcatel 2057D phone through Hepsiburada. Although the device was still under warranty, I experienced a hardware issue and sent it to the KVK Authorized Service Center in Ankara for repair. During the entire period that I owned and used the phone, it was never exposed to any liquid or moisture.
After the device arrived at the service center, I expected the issue to be handled under warranty. Instead, I was informed that the phone was considered out of warranty due to alleged liquid damage and that I would need to pay $97 for repairs. The explanation I received was “out of warranty, liquid damage detected, replacement device price.” However, the phone originally sold for approximately $58, making the requested amount significantly higher than the value of the product itself.
I strongly reject the claim that the device suffered liquid damage, and I believe the requested fee is excessive and unfair. This situation has also led me to question whether the product sold to me as brand-new may actually have been a previously used, defective, or problematic device from the beginning.
I have been negatively affected by this unfair treatment and want my concerns addressed. I request that the actual condition of my device be properly evaluated and that it be repaired free of charge under warranty. If that is not possible, I expect either a replacement with a new device or another fair and reasonable resolution. Rather than ignoring customer complaints, I expect the company to thoroughly investigate this matter and contact me promptly with a solution-oriented response.
