I Face Screen Malfunction On Honor Magic Lite 7 After Minor Drop Despite Durability Claims

I purchased an Honor Magic Lite 7 smartphone through Hepsiburada on 31 July 2025 for ₺15,299, trusting the brand’s strong marketing claims about durability. The phone was delivered on 4 August, but by 8 August, after only four days of use, I noticed that the touchscreen had stopped responding properly. The issue began after the phone slipped inside my bag from a height of roughly 30 cm, which should not have caused any damage. Honor’s own advertisements clearly state that the device can withstand drops from up to 2 meters without issue, making this situation highly misleading.
On 19 August, I delivered the device to the KVK service center in Ankara. Instead of honoring the warranty, I was told that the phone had damage near the SIM card tray and was asked to pay ₺5,700 for repairs. The service classified the fault as “customer damage,” refusing to process it under warranty.
It is unacceptable that a phone promoted as extra durable fails under such a minor incident and that no support is provided. I request that Honor either repairs my device free of charge under warranty or provides a full refund. I expect an urgent resolution to this matter, as the product has not met the promised quality or durability standards.
