On August 28–30, 2024, I booked accommodation at Meymune Valide Konağı in Safranbolu through Airbnb, using reservation code HMYJDMDKHQ. I paid a total of ₺6,080 by credit card. The booking was confirmed, and the dates were shown as available on the Airbnb app. However, shortly after, the host contacted me and informed me that the property was actually unavailable on those dates, even though the system displayed it as vacant.
This forced me to cancel my planned trip entirely. While I was told I would receive a refund, I was also informed that it could take up to 15 days for the money to be returned to my account. Having to wait that long not only caused financial inconvenience but also prevented me from making alternative travel arrangements.
This issue clearly stems from an Airbnb system error, where the property was incorrectly listed as available. Such misleading availability information severely disrupts customers’ plans and trust in the platform. I request that Airbnb expedite my refund and take immediate steps to fix these listing errors so other travelers do not face the same issue in the future.
