Airbnb Charged Me ₺6,500 For Damage Without Proof After Stay In İzmir Rental

From August 28–30, 2025, I rented a property in İzmir through Airbnb (confirmation code: HMM9PZETHA). After my stay, the host accused me of causing damage to a table and demanded ₺6,500 without providing any invoice, repair bill, or proof. I strongly disagree with this claim because I believe the table damage was actually caused by the large number of bees on the property’s veranda. The infestation was so severe that we could not use the outdoor space, meaning we were the ones truly inconvenienced during the stay.
Instead of protecting guests and investigating properly, Airbnb immediately sided with the host. They did not request supporting documents, receipts, or even conduct a fair review. Without proper evidence, they simply charged me for the alleged damage. As a result, I have already been forced to pay ₺1,000, even though I should not be responsible.
This is the first time I have ever faced such a problem with Airbnb, and it has left me extremely disappointed. If anything, given the bee problem and the fact that we could not fully enjoy the property, I should be the one compensated, not unfairly billed.
I expect Airbnb to conduct a thorough review of this case, require the host to submit an official invoice for the supposed damages, and take into account the bee infestation that disrupted our stay. I also request that the unfair damage claim against me be canceled. Customers deserve fairness, transparency, and proper evidence—not automatic charges based only on the host’s word.
