Air Arabia Flight Damaged All Our Luggage – No Compensation for Broken Wheels
On August 24, four friends and I took a connecting flight to Thailand through Sharjah. During the layover, I could see the baggage transfer from my seat and noticed that one of my friend's suitcases was placed separately from the rest. I didn’t mention it because I assumed they knew what they were doing. However, when we arrived in Phuket, my friend’s suitcase was missing, and one of my suitcase wheels was broken. We filed a damage and lost luggage report at the airport. They found the lost suitcase 3-4 days later, but its wheels were also broken.
By the time our vacation ended, and we returned using the same airline, all of us had another wheel broken off our suitcases. At the airport, we were initially told the damage would be compensated, but when we went to the Air Arabia office in Istanbul, they refused to pay, stating that the luggage would have to be completely destroyed to qualify for compensation. Almost all the suitcases on the conveyor belt had broken wheels, and we were left without any reimbursement for the damage caused.
