Adidas Terrex Trailmaker Gore-Tex Boots Water Leaking Issue

My Adidas Terrex Trailmaker Gore-Tex boots, which I purchased on 11/29/2023, have a problem where they leak water when it's light raining or when the surface is moist. I sent the device in for repair, but it came back to me saying it was user error and that I couldn't take it further. The returned boots smell terrible and were stored in water, so they aren't usable.
I assured customer service that I followed all care recommendations carefully, yet they still said the problem was due to misuse. I really hope Adidas changes their mind and owns up to the defective boots they sold.
