Adidas Terrex AX4 Mid Gore-Tex Leaks in First Rain

On December 7, 2025, I purchased the Adidas Terrex AX4 Mid Gore-Tex shoes from the Adidas store at StarCity Mall, specifically because they were advertised as waterproof. However, the shoes leaked during the very first rain.
As a result, I returned the product to the store on January 11, 2026—just 1 month and 7 days after purchase—requesting a warranty inspection and replacement. After the review, I was informed that no manufacturing defect was found and that the issue was determined to be caused by improper use or maintenance. Therefore, the claim was classified as “user error.”
I was both surprised and disappointed that a shoe less than one month old—purchased specifically for its waterproof feature—would leak in the first rain, and that full responsibility would be placed on me. I do not find it acceptable for a product marketed as waterproof to fail under normal weather conditions during initial use.
I am requesting that the inspection be conducted again in a more detailed and objective manner, and that the shoes be replaced under warranty with the same waterproof model.
