Acer Device Warranty Voided Over RAM Installation Despite Prior Approval
About 8 months ago, I contacted Acer’s service to ask whether I could install additional RAM in my device. After receiving confirmation, the same exact RAM model was installed by the IT department at my workplace. When the device malfunctioned, I sent it to your service center, where I was told that a short circuit occurred due to incorrect RAM installation, voiding the warranty. How could a faulty installation cause a short circuit 8 months later? The RAM installation was done with prior approval, and I am requesting that my device be repaired under warranty. If this issue is not resolved, I will have to pursue legal action.
