Academia.edu Charged 3.000₺ Without Notice After Free Trial Expired

I signed up for Academia.edu solely to use the free trial version. However, once the trial period ended, 3.000₺ was withdrawn from my card without any warning or consent. I noticed the charge on the same day, immediately canceled my membership, and reached out to the support team several times. Despite this, I received only automated replies and no real assistance. I never used any of the Premium features after the trial, which makes this charge completely unjustified. This practice feels deliberately misleading and unfair to users. I have now initiated a chargeback process with my bank to recover the unauthorized amount. I am filing this complaint not only for myself but also to warn others of such deceptive practices. I demand the immediate refund of the 3.000₺ wrongly taken from my account and expect Academia.edu to take accountability. I will pursue all legal rights available to me until this issue is resolved.
