I’ve been using the ZyXEL VMG3625-T50B modem (S/N: S210Y21091796), and around 12:30 AM, my internet suddenly disconnected. I noticed that all the modem lights had turned off, even though the modem was right in front of me. There were no sounds or indications of a malfunction. I suspected it might be an electrical issue, so I checked the power, outlet, and adapter—all were working fine. Yet, none of the modem’s lights are on, and it seems like the modem is completely dead.
After researching, I found out that the ZyXEL VMG3625-T50B can enter protection mode, leading many users to think their modem is broken. However, there’s no clear documentation explaining why the modem enters protection mode or how to fix it. This lack of information leaves thousands of users assuming their modem is useless. ZyXEL should provide proper guidance on how to resolve this issue and prevent further inconvenience.
