Unpaid Teacher Promotion Bonus from Yapi Kredi Bank
My spouse and I were appointed as permanent teachers in January 2023 in Başakşehir district, Istanbul. The district has a three-year agreement with Yap Kredi Bank that entitles us to a promotional allowance for the contract's remaining months. However, it has now been 7 months and we have still not received our legal entitlement as per the relevant Prime Ministry circular. We made a formal request to the Başakşehir District National Education Directorate through our school, but despite assurances of payment in April and later in July, the allowance has not been paid as of today. We, as teachers, have been left in a bind because we have not received the promised promotional allowance. We hold the responsible parties accountable for the injustice we have experienced, whether individuals, institutions, or the bank, and reserve the right to take legal action if necessary.
