On February 14, I purchased a Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Active smartwatch from İdefix as a Valentine’s Day gift for my spouse. From the very first day, the device has had issues, but at first I thought my spouse was simply not used to using it, so I did not focus on the problem. However, we later realized that the issue is not related to usage but is a genuine defect in the device.
When we select a default watch face either from the device menu or through the app, the watch resets itself after a while and returns to its original state. Sometimes even the device language changes on its own. In other words, none of the customizations or settings we apply are saved, and the watch cannot be used properly.
When I contacted İdefix about this issue, they directed me to the authorized service center and provided the necessary details. I then sent the device to the authorized service by courier. However, on the very same day the device arrived, it was returned to me with a note saying “no issue found,” without any repair or proper inspection being carried out.
When I received the watch back, I saw that the same problems were still ongoing. Because the authorized service failed to provide a solution and İdefix only redirected me without following up, I have been left in a difficult situation, and the gift I bought for Valentine’s Day has turned into a disappointment.
As a consumer, I do not accept being left to deal with this issue on my own. Since the product is clearly defective and the service has not provided any resolution, I request that İdefix stand behind its sale and either replace the product or initiate a return and full refund process.
