I bought a Redmi 12C a little over two years ago, and I’ve had nonstop problems with it. About 5–6 months after purchasing, the phone started freezing randomly, opening apps by itself, and even making calls without my input — as if it had a mind of its own. Shortly after, it began overheating, wouldn’t charge properly, and the touchscreen became nearly unresponsive.
I took the phone to the authorized service center while it was still under warranty. They confirmed it had a “system error” and replaced the battery. That temporarily solved the problem, and I thought the issue was resolved.
But now, just 1.5 years later — right after the warranty expired — all the same problems have returned. The phone freezes again, acts erratically, and is once more unusable. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed. This is clearly a long-term defect, not normal wear and tear.
Redmi, I expected a reliable device, not a product that breaks down on a loop. I’m filing this complaint because I believe users deserve better. If this is a known issue, you need to provide extended support or a lasting solution — not leave customers hanging right after the warranty ends. I demand that this recurring fault be addressed and fixed.
