Wizz Air Charged Me for Airport Check-In Despite Arriving 3 Hours Early
I had a ticket for Wizz Air flight W62290 from Stuttgart to Budapest. I arrived at the airport three full hours before departure, yet I was still charged €47 (₺ equivalent) for airport check-in. I’m a passenger with a disability, and instead of receiving proper assistance, I was told bluntly that if I didn’t want to pay, I could just go home. How is this acceptable?
When I asked why I had to pay such a steep fee despite being early, the only explanation I got was, “That’s how it works here.” No compassion, no real answer—just a cold demand for more money. This feels like a setup designed to squeeze hidden fees from passengers, especially vulnerable ones.
I am filing a formal complaint and demand a full refund of the ₺ they unfairly charged me. I’ll be pursuing legal action and will never fly Wizz Air again. I strongly warn others—those “cheap” tickets always come with surprise charges.
