WhatsApp Failed to Protect My Privacy – Unsolicited Message from India (+91)

On January 15, 2025, I received a WhatsApp message from a number with the +91 country code. After searching online, I found that this code belongs to India—a country with which I have no personal or business connections. I was deeply disturbed by this unexpected message, as it raised major concerns about my privacy and data security.

I immediately blocked the number, but I demand answers. How did an unknown sender get my phone number? If my account details have been compromised, my phone number misused without consent, or any of my personal data (messages, photos, etc.) accessed, I hold WhatsApp fully responsible. If my number is exploited for fraudulent activities such as unauthorized purchases, company registration, or debt in my name, I will not accept any liability.

WhatsApp must take immediate action to prevent unauthorized access and secure user data. I expect a prompt response to address this serious security breach!
