On February 6, 2025, I received a WhatsApp message from a number with the +91 country code. After searching online, I found that this code belongs to India—a country with which I have no personal or business connections. This unexpected message made me extremely uncomfortable.
I immediately blocked the sender, but I am deeply concerned about my privacy. How did my number end up in the hands of an unknown party? I demand an explanation from WhatsApp. If my account information has been compromised, my phone number misused, or any of my private data (messages, photos, etc.) accessed, I hold WhatsApp fully responsible. I will not accept any liability if someone fraudulently opens a company, makes purchases, or incurs debt in my name.
WhatsApp must take urgent action to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access. I expect a prompt response addressing this security risk!
