The act of formally canceling or ending a submitted application for a specific service, benefit, or request is known as withdrawing an application. Under certain conditions, you may withdraw your VFS Global visa application. There are two types of application cancellation:
Interim Withdrawal: This is a temporary withdrawal of your passport that you can use if you need to apply for another visa while your current visa application is still being processed. The processing time for an interim withdrawal is about 48 hours from the date of request. To begin an interim withdrawal, fill out Form Q, "Application for Interim Withdrawal of Passport," and submit it to the location where your application is lodged.
Complete Withdrawal: If you no longer want to pursue your visa application and simply want your passport back, you can choose to withdraw completely. It is important to note that application fees are usually non-refundable. To request a complete withdrawal, fill out Form R, "Complete Application Withdrawal Letter," and return it to the location where your application was lodged.
The withdrawal procedure may differ depending on your specific situation, so contact the VFS Global office handling your application for guidance and to ensure you follow the correct procedure.
