Turkish Airlines Ticket Cancellation Issue
I purchased a ticket online from THY, but I mistakenly bought the ticket for 10/03/2024 instead of 18/02/2024. I realized this mistake during baggage check-in at the airport when an employee pointed it out. Since the ticket I bought was economy class, I was not eligible for a refund or exchange, and I had to buy a new ticket on the spot. Here's what I want to convey: Anyone can make such a mistake or encounter an emergency. They might want to cancel their flight. In such a situation, a global company that cares about its customers could offer a refund option up to 24 hours before the flight time, as the company still has a chance to sell that ticket. Alternatively, they could provide a ticket valid for an indefinite period (similar to how they handle their own mistakes). I believe the current policy is flawed.
