Turkish Airlines Refund Issue for Pet Travel from Guangzhou to Istanbul
On December 5th, I was scheduled to fly from Guangzhou Airport to Istanbul with my pet. Based on the information provided by the call center and ground services, I was informed that vaccinations and identification would suffice for the necessary documents. However, upon reaching the counter, I was told that a health certificate was required, and without it, my pet could not board the plane. I created a feedback report with the number TK9940444 requesting a refund for the fee paid for my pet. Despite Turkish Airlines (THY) promising a resolution within 2-7 days, it is now December 29th, and the refund has not been processed. Multiple calls to the call center have only resulted in the response, 'I am escalating the urgency.' Due to the incomplete information provided by THY staff, I faced difficulties at the airport, had to pay additional fees to change my flight ticket, and have been waiting for 24 days for the refund for my pet's travel fee.
