Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Rebooking Issue
On September 4, 2022, Turkish Airlines (THY) canceled my flight without providing any reason. Following this, I received an email stating that I have the right to either rebook once for free within one year or get a refund for unused flight vouchers within two years from the given date. When I contacted the company again on August 22, 2023, they claimed that my 'ticket date' was August 16, 2022, and therefore, I had exceeded the one year, denying me the right to rebook. I explained to them that the email was very clear and that I did not see any other date besides September 4; the email did not mention anything about the ticket issuance date or August 16. It is unreasonable to expect me to know something that was not specified; hence, they are at fault. I am still waiting for a resolution. After the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of my ticket without any reason, it is mind-boggling that they are trying to cause further inconvenience in their so-called efforts to compensate.
